The Lord of the Rings industry continues to promise more to look forward to.

Elijah Wood recently revealed that The Hunt for Gollum is likely to be the first in a series of movies, extending yet again the hefty filmography that Tolkien's most famous works have inspired. However, there is a wait to be had before fans get to sit in the theater once more—the release date for the first installment is still 2027.

The great thing about being an enjoyer of all things Middle-earth is that even when the promise of new content seems far away, there is plenty that is already available to help you ease your impatience. You have a whole collection of books and movies to revisit, and inevitably find something new and interesting each time that you do. Plus, when your attention span does not stretch as far as an extended edition marathon, there are all the ridiculous memes that LOTR fans just cannot help but keep adding to on a regular basis.
